Dr Mohammad Syed joins us from Ohio. He is a retired physician with over 25 years of experience in the medical profession. He has volunteered in various Muslim organizations across the nation with fundraising and planning, construction, and weekend schools to name a few. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise from his many years of community service. He is committed to providing a quality Islamic school and community for the students of Guidance Islamic School. Dr. Syed has relocated from Ohio to Indiana as the school principal. Dr. Syed enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Amber Abdullah has worked in education since 1993.
Mrs. Abdullah earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Evansville and moved to Malaysia, where she began teaching English at Kolej Negeri in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan for two years. Upon returning to the U.S., Mrs. Abdullah went on to earn her Master’s Degree in ESL and taught English at Murray State University until 1999. She then moved to Indianapolis, IN and worked for MSD of Decatur Township before finally joining the Islamic School of Plainfield in 2008. She has been teaching at ISP for sixteen years and also worked as principal for five years.
Mrs. Abdullah is excited about moving the Plainfield school to its new location in Indianapolis and looks forward to a successful year at Guidance Islamic School as the Vice-Principal.
Mrs. Abdullah lives in Indianapolis with her husband and has three daughters. She enjoys reading, camping, Girl Scouts. and watching her children participate in sports.
